These pieces are mostly interviews with artists I genuinely love. I like to open them with some loose, possibly self-indulgent connection to my own life, because, well, I’m selfish. The idea is to give lesser-known artists the same depth and intentionality we instinctively grant to the big names, and to make space for real conversations: doubt, craft, childhood fixations, failed projects, strange ambitions. And yeah, practically speaking, they’re more likely to answer my emails. A few principles I'm trying to stick to: no gatekeeping, crediting the communities that shape artists, paying attention to material conditions, and, above all, staying close to my heart and not faking my taste just cause it’s cool!! More tempting than we think.
